With media production costs being so high, many, (in fact sadly most) charities are forced to produce their own amateur videos, which cannot achieve anywhere near as much as a professionally produced film can.
Unique and in high demand, Environment Films quickly became leaders in the field, producing films for Greenpeace, The Wildlife Trust, The Global Climate Campaign and Fair Trade among many others in our first year.
To ensure Environment Films is sustainable, in July 2009, a corporate wing was created and as a result, we’re forever able to offer charities a non profit service.
Case Study,
Our feature length documentary ‘Soi Dogs’ was produced for and about ‘The Soi Dog Foundation in 2009. It premiered at a London cinema to an audience of 250 people and was praised by Terry Waite, CBE who spoke at the event.
DVD’s are being sold across the globe, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
Having travelled the festival path both in the UK and Thailand, it has been screened at fundraising events all over the world. Most notably at an event (screening and auction) hosted by PAAW, which raised over $13,000 for the charity.
The film continues to be screened at such events, indefinitely we hope - raising vital funds for the charity each time.
In June 2010 ‘Soi Dogs’ was broadcast across Asia on Television and this August will be broadcast 4 times on UK Television, by The Community Channel.
‘Soi Dogs’ has also been picked up by WSPA (The World Society for the Protection of Animals), who have broken the film down into 9 websiodes which will be screening internationally via the WSPA website early next month.
Regardless of the budget size, we apply the same attention to detail, enthusiasm and quality control to all of our productions.
